Furniture for Families is a non-profit, all volunteer, 501(c)(3) organization. Our mission is simple: To provide children and families with beds to sleep on, a table to eat and study at, and perhaps a dresser to put their things in.
As a furniture bank, we solicit and pick up good, serviceable used furniture (no stained or damaged pieces) by appointment, from El Dorado Hills, Folsom, and Rancho Cordova. The furniture is stored at our facility for distribution, free of charge, to our clients (over half are children).
Since we opened our doors in May, 2001, Furniture for Families has given away over 20,000 pieces of furniture to more than 2,000 families.
